HolidayIQ Traveller Vyan Rathi says, "From Kanha, we reached Bandhavgarh through a lovely rural drive of 5 hours. Tree House is stunning, the place grows on you. Just 5 Tree Houses in a large forested area makes you feel super special. While we were there we saw a jungle cat and wild boars from the dining area. One of our best experinces was dinning amidst bushes which was organised by the lodge (this was done as a suprise for us)."

HolidayIQ Traveller Rahulkhannan says, "Resort staff met us on the main road with a jeep. I parked my car in a small ground on the highway side continued the further journey in the resort's jeep. The jeep plunged into the greenery on the side of the road. The staff said that the resort is 6 km into the forest and only a jeep can climb that path. The journey was continued, and upto 2 km, the road was ok till we were near Vythiri's famous resort. From there, it was a perfect forest trekking. It was around 4 pm. We reached the resort in 20 odd minutes. The resort was open to the forest with no boundary wall. The ambiance was initially slightly scaring but later we loved it. A water stream was passing very close to the resort, which shows that there is water pure than the bottled water. There were hardly 5 to 6 rooms. The rooms had a TV with no fan or AC. The atmosphere itself is very cold that you feel like you are in a hill station. The staff was very cordial and caring. The food served was awesome. May be because you are savoring the same in natures lap, away from noisy, dusty, stinking city air. The dishes were prepared by our choice and were remarkable. The tree house with two stores have a lift made of logs. Overall, the stay was worth for every penny spend."

HolidayIQ Traveller Sunny Ahuja shares her experince, "Stayed in a forest Machan and had an amazing experience. If you truly want to enjoy nature in a location nestled amongst forest like surroundings, this is it. The tree top houses are one of a kind and luxurious to say the least. I and my family had a great time here. Highly recommended especially in the rainy season." Adds HolidayIQ Traveller Diksha Jain, "The Machan is a great concept and it was a different experience. The place is also known as to be three house and we had stayed at the hotel for two days with a group of seven members. It was refreshing stay as well as very close to the green trees and nature at its best."

HolidayIQ Traveller Himanshu Hira says, "The location of the resort is awesome and romantic with unbelievably stunning views. The cottage is way more beautiful than the pictures. The owner, Mr. Upadhyay was a very nice man and hospitable. Since they have limited inventory of tree house, so you need to book it in advance. Best place to stay around Manali and I will surely recommend this place."

HolidayIQ Traveler Vihnu says, "The best destination to have a calm and relaxing trip, especially for people who love nature. Adds HolidayIQ Traveller Aditya Hariharan, "Must say the drive to this place, our first impression on reaching there was all simply enticing. We were there for 2 days and loved the food. The place is beautiful with a stream in the middle of the property. We enjoyed playing games in the morning and took a trek to the tea estate. The swimming pool is the highlight of this place. The atmosphere was very relaxed and warm. Excellent place to relax and get refreshed amidst nature. We visited the resort during October and it was raining for some part of the day but we still enjoyed the pool and playing in the stream."

HolidayIQ Traveller Oishimaya Sen says, "We had an excellent time at the resort during our visit to the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve. The resort had a collection of a great variety of trees and the giant malabar squirrel peeped at us from the branches. Many bird nests could be noted on the trees and we woke up to the calls of the Malabar whistling thrush. A must for every adventurer is a stay in the tree-house here, which is very exciting and gives you the feeling of staying up in a machan. The food, though a bit expensive, was at par in quality with any good restaurant. The whole ambience of the resort, the open bamboo designed dining hall, the cottages and tree-houses gave an excellent feeling of being a part of the jungle life. The bonfire area and the games area provided a great place for spending time with families and friends. The owner of the resort is Nawab Shah Fath Ali Khan, India' s only licensed man-eater hunter and though we missed an opportunity to meet him as he wasn't there at that time, I would suggest others to not miss the opportunity."

HolidayIQ Traveller Rich from Chennai says, "The scenic view that the resort offers can alone make it worth visiting. There is not much to do around unless you are a nature lover. The resort is a perfect place and a perfect setting to sit and enjoy nature or just read a book. Though a little expensive its location is perfect. All the rooms in the resort have a clear view of the waterfall. Services are amazing and so is the food. The rooms are spacious and tastefully done."

HolidayIQ Traveller Arun from Mumbai says, "Hornbill River Resort is a very good hotel in terms of stay, adventure and wildlife activities. There are a variety of rooms available and the staff is very courteous. The food is also excellent and they do server a very nice and tasty buffet. For wildlife, there is highly experienced guide GOPI that will take you through the wildlife part of the resort and the nearby areas. The resort is very good for spotting birds and some rare species like the Malabar Flying Squirrel. Do make it a point to take a holiday at the resort and the experience will be unforgettable."
